This is a photograph of the historic Caledonia-Mumford Elementary School, originally built as the Caledonia High School, which opened in October 1939. Additions were made in the mid-1950s when centralization occured. Students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade attended class in this building. In 1965 the middle school was built on the property behind this building to the east and students in grades seven through twelve were moved to the new building. The original school became an elementary school. Today students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade attend class in this beautiful building.
Students in grades six, seven and eight attend class in the middle school and students in grades nine through twelve attend class in the high school, which opened in 1998.
