How to recognize bullying
Listen to this video on how to recognize bullying. The first step is to RECOGNIZE if what is happening is either Conflict or Bullying. Conflict is two-sided, where both sides are being mean to each other. Bullying is one-sided. If you think your child or someone you know is being bullied, be sure to tell a trusted adult at school and at home.

Committee for Children
At Caledonia-Mumford Elementary, students receive monthly classroom lessons from evidence-based curriculum by Committee for Children. We develop Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills through lessons from "Second Step: Skills for Social and Academic Success". We also support the district-wide Olweus Bullying Prevention Program through lessons from "Second Step: Bullying Prevention Unit". You may have participated in Home Link activities with your child, where the skills taught in the classroom can be practiced and reinforced at home.
