A Letter from the Superintendent
Dear Raiders,
On December 5, 2023, residents of the Caledonia-Mumford Central School District will vote on a capital improvement project with NO ADDITIONAL TAX IMPACT. The project, spanning both the Elementary and Middle/High School buildings, features a comprehensive range of enhancements aimed at modernizing and improving the educational facilities within the district.
For the Elementary School, these improvements include the establishment of a state-of-the-art Library Innovation Center, reconfiguration of the main entry and office areas, security enhancements to ensure the safety of students and staff, roof and window replacement, auditorium upgrades, boiler replacement, and the resurfacing of parking lots and driveways. These upgrades collectively aim to create a more conducive and secure environment for learning, with a focus on technological innovation and infrastructure reliability.
The Middle/High School project mirrors these goals by incorporating a Library Innovation Center renovation, main entry and office reconfiguration, additional security enhancements, auditorium improvements, PA system upgrades for better communication and educational experiences, and the resurfacing of the middle/high driveway.
By addressing these critical elements, the district aims to ensure that students have access to the best possible learning environment, all while assuring residents that this project will be undertaken without imposing any additional tax burden.
Please vote on Tuesday, December 5, from 12-9 p.m. in the District Office. Upon a successful vote, the District will begin the Capital Project in late spring 2025, and it is anticipated that the project will be completed by December 31, 2026. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Sincerely,
Robert Molisani
Superintendent of Schools

Cal-Mum CSD Board of Education Planning for Capital Project
Highlights: Partial Roof Replacements, Athletic Complex Upgrades, MS/HS Auditorium Improvements,
Elementary Gymnasium Upgrades, and More
The Caledonia-Mumford Central School District Board of Education is in the final stages of planning for a 2018 capital improvement project. The board is expected to adopt the resolution to move forward with the project at the June 12, 2018 board meeting.
The board of education has been working towards creating a project that both addresses the districts current needs while simultaneously being good stewards of the district's money. The outcome thus far is a robust project encompassing many different facility and program updates. One main scope is partial roof replacements at the elementary and middle/high school, covering about 17,500 square feet in total. With the roof being at the end of its useful life, this is an item that requires immediate attention. The other scope outlined in the project so far is renovations to the Middle/High School Auditorium and Elementary School Gymnasium. The auditorium will see upgrades to the sound, lighting and rigging system and the gymnasium will receive bleacher replacements, and repainting and refinishing of the gym floor.
“It’s crucial that we address the work outlined in the project at a time where critical funding is available,” said Robert Molisani, Superintendent of Caledonia-Mumford Central Schools.
Other project highlights included are significant improvements to the athletic complex. These will include installation of soccer safety netting, pole vault concrete pads, the replacement of windows in the press box, and a replacement of the track surface and turf fabric with a new shock pad. The latter items having immense advancement in technology since our first installation, we are expecting greater results and a longer shelf life. The shock pad will greatly improve our drainage ultimately creating extended use of our complex without the hindrance of weather elements.
The project is designed to enhance the district’s facilities through focusing on the health and safety improvements and replacement of aging infrastructure items. The goal is to protect investments already made by our community as well as to prepare our facilities to meet future needs in a fiscally responsible way.
