Our District is comprised of 800 students and two school buildings on one campus. Our elementary school serves grades Pre-K through grade five. Our middle/high school serves grades six through twelve. Caledonia-Mumford CSD is located approximately 20 miles southwest of the City of Rochester, in the northern part of Livingston County and in the picturesque Genesee Valley. Our campus is located on a 90-acre site and our district covers nearly 60-square miles. CMCSD is comprised of five townships: Caledonia, Riga, Chili, Wheatland, and LeRoy as well as the Village of Caledonia and hamlets of Mumford and Clifton.
Our Mission...
"The Caledonia-Mumford Central School District in collaboration with our community, takes pride in providing safe, comprehensive and rigorous experiences in order for all students to graduate as ethical, responsible, lifelong learners who are college and career ready.

Dear Caledonia-Mumford Community,
The start of a new school year brings a special energy to our community, and we are thrilled to welcome our students, faculty, and staff back to our buildings for 2025-26. We are excited to embark on this journey of learning and growth with every Raider.
As you return to campus, you will notice that we are under construction. While you’ll have to pardon our dust, this construction marks an exciting investment in our students’ futures. We are creating dynamic, state-of-the-art learning spaces designed to inspire the next generation of innovators in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). These improvements will provide incredible new opportunities for hands-on learning and discovery.
The Capital Project will be on-going through the winter of 2026. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to watch the progress!
We are proud to launch our new literacy initiative, Every Raider is a Reader, a comprehensive commitment to ensuring every student develops strong reading skills necessary for success. Grounded in the proven research of the Science of Reading, this initiative will drive meaningful curriculum shifts in our classrooms. At the heart of this work is our core belief that every Raider should learn by engaging with rich, authentic texts that grow content knowledge and increase in complexity. This approach not only builds stronger readers but also more knowledgeable students. Literacy is the key driver of success–empowering our students whether they choose a path to college or a career.
Looking ahead, we begin the budget development process for the 2026-27 school year in the late fall. The Board of Education and I are committed to ensuring a transparent process with clear two-way communication. Capturing the voice of our community is a critical part of this process. Your priorities, questions, and ideas will directly shape our budget.
Please watch for opportunities to meet with us, respond to surveys, and attend community events designed to elicit your feedback. Your partnership is essential to our success, and your voice is critical in shaping the future of our schools.
This year will be one of progress and collaboration. As we navigate the construction on our campuses, expand literacy instruction, and plan for our future, let's Build Together!
Respectfully,
Dr. Rebekah Chenaille
