Welcome to science! This year, I will be teaching Chemistry, Earth Science, and Environmental Science.
I grew up outside of Buffalo, and studied chemistry at Clarkson University. I then went on to earn my master's in chemistry at the Unviersity of Chicago. I worked for a few years at Argonne National Lab doing protein purification and crystallization before becoming a teacher. I studied education at Virginia Commonwealth University, and I taught science at Franklin Military Academy in Richmond for seven years. Now that we have moved back home to Western New York, I am thrilled to teach here at Cal-Mum!
I am a super nerdy scientist, and my hobbies include stargazing and amateur radio. In 2017 and 2018, my students and I launched our first high altitude weather balloons to the edge of space. I can't wait to start a similar project here too.
